I had the wonderful Blessing of attending the Sheriff Department's awards banquet. To hear account after account of the selfless acts of these men and women, and their willingness to put themselves in danger to protect our community---I have an even deeper respect for our law enforcement officers, to say the least. Congratulations to the retirees, and all the recipients, and thanks to all of you for going above and beyond to serve others. You remain in my prayers.
